ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

Dr. Kiewit has over 15 years of experience in managing engineering and high technology operations. His management responsibilities have included R&D, design, manufacture, data processing operations, system support, and marketing research.

In over 25 years of experience as an engineer, Dr. Kiewit has authored over a dozen papers in technical journals. He has received 11 U.S. patents (5 for software-intensive innovations) and numerous foreign equivalents..

He received both a Ph.D. in Materials Science and a BA in Physics from Northwestern University

Dr. Kiewit is a Life Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and has served as chairman of the local chapter of the IEEE Computer Society. He is also a past-president of the Tampa Bay Inventors' Council. He is a member of the American Physical Society and has, at various times held membership in the Electrochemical Society, the American Metals Society, the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers, and the Optical Society of America.
